Fear is Universal and Knows No Borders

Innovative Leadership Thrives on Curiousity

As I write this article I am sitting in an airport lounge in Malaysia after having the privilege to invest a few days into sharing my message with another diverse group of leaders of today and tomorrow. My heart is filled with gratitude for the calling I have been blessed with and I couldn’t possibly imagine doing anything else. Being an international speaker and trainer continues to provide me with countless opportunities to speak into the lives of many thousands of people, sometimes in large groups in a conference venue, other times in a more intimate setting. No matter where I go or who they are the overarching issues are still the same. People are over stressed and under engaged due to the same fears and frustrations that pull them further away from their wants and aspirations.

We all fear that we may not be good enough, that we may not belong and that others may not love us.

These 3 fears, in isolation or in collaboration with each other, conspire against us in our subconscious mind and create a distorted reality that can manifest negative thoughts, self talk and unhealthy, reactive behaviour. We will become someone that we are not to guard against them and this erodes our authenticity, our true identity.

What about you? How do these 3 fears create roadblocks in your journey?

Anyway, I only had a few minutes to share my thoughts with you as I am off to Singapore now to work with more rooms full of people who will experience the same issues with their inner game that the ones I am leaving behind here in Malaysia. People are created the same, no matter where they live. Fear is universal and knows no boundaries.

Love to hear your thoughts.

Cheers Grant
